The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Wednesday battled to vacate the court order served it by the Chris Giwa- led NFF board, even as fear grip those that featured at the NFF Congress in Warri, Delta State of possible contempt charge.
Unlike in the past cases where the NFF would run to FIFA for protection the federation we gathered has opted to face Giwa in the court of law.
A source hinted that the federation under Musa Amadu has assembled a team of lawyers to ensure quick vacation of the Court Order to pave way for smooth conduct of proposed election into the NFF executive committee.
In a bid to remove any controversy in the service of the orders lawyers to Obinna Ogba pasted the over 30- page affidavit at door post of the federation on Tuesday night. Early visitors to Glasshouse saw the document which were later removed by unknown NFF staff.
It was also learnt that the Giwa group may be filing contempt proceedings against the NFF management and state FA chairmen (form 48) any moment from now.
